Rofea Optoelectronics has launched the R-BPR series 40GHz balanced photodetector, which uses differential detection technology to accurately “salvage” weak optical signals from noise vortices, convert optical signals into electrical signals, and effectively suppress common mode noise, significantly improving signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity, achieving quantum level precision in optoelectronic conversion.This balanced photodetector contains two photodiodes and a low-noise transimpedance amplifier, where the two photodiodes are matched with each other to achieve excellent common mode rejection ratio. The photodetector subtracts the two detection signals to eliminate common mode noise, thus obtaining small changes in the effective signal from interference noise.It is a core optoelectronic conversion device for high-speed optical communication and coherent detection. It adopts differential (balanced) detection technology to convert two weak optical signals into electrical signals and suppress common mode/laser noise, improving signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity. It is claimed to achieve “quantum level accuracy” in optoelectronic conversion.
Product Description: The R-BPR series 40G balanced photodetector integrates 40G high-speed balanced photodetector and low-noise amplification circuit, effectively reducing laser noise and common mode noise, improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the system, with low noise, high gain, optional bandwidth up to 31GHz, and convenient use. Mainly used in fields such as 43Gbit/s DPSK, 100Gbit/s DQPSK optical communication, microwave photon coherent detection, and fiber optic sensing.
